- Cookies and Similar Technologies (Website): cookies, web beacons, pixels, and local storage to enable functionality, analytics, and preferences. See Section 7 for details.
- Location and Sensor Data (App) (if enabled): approximate location, motion/activity data, and other sensor readings used to support App features. You can control access via your device settings.
2.3 App-Specific Diving Data
- Dive Logs and Telemetry: dates and times, depth/time profiles, water temperature (if available), ascent/descent rates, configurations, and related metadata. These data may be stored locally on your device and, if you enable sync or backup features, may be transmitted to our servers or trusted service providers.
2.4 Information From Third Parties
- Apple App Store and Transactions: we receive limited transaction-related information (e.g., purchase confirmations, subscription status, or identifiers) from Apple necessary to activate features you purchase. We do not receive your full payment card details.
- Service Providers and Partners: analytics, crash reporting, and hosting providers may supply aggregated or pseudonymized reports.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above to:
- Provide and Operate the App and Website: deliver core features, process purchases through Apple, authenticate activity, and maintain functionality.
- Safety and Performance: support dive planning and logging features, provide warnings and notifications, troubleshoot issues, and improve reliability.

10. California Privacy Notice (CPRA)
If you are a California resident, this section applies in addition to the rest of this Policy.
- Categories Collected: identifiers (e.g., name, email, device identifiers); internet/network activity (usage, logs, IP, cookies); geolocation (approximate, if enabled); inference and profile data (limited, for app functionality and improvements); commercial information related to Apple transactions (limited to confirmations/identifiers).
- Sources: directly from you, automatically through your device/browser, Apple, and service providers.
- Purposes: as described in Sections 3 and 5.
- Disclosure: we disclose personal information to service providers for business purposes. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising as those terms are defined by the CPRA.
- Sensitive Personal Information: we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes other than those permitted by CPRA.
- Your CPRA Rights: know/access, correct, delete, portability, and to not be discriminated against for exercising your rights. Submit requests at info@vceve.com. You may designate an authorized agent; we will require verification of both you and your agent.
11. Children's Privacy
Our App and Website are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
12. Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Policy, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and as otherwise permitted by law. Where feasible, we will anonymize or aggregate data so it no longer identifies you.

17. Controller Information

We do not sell personal information and do not share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. We may use analytics to improve the App and Website in accordance with this Policy and your choices.
